Planet of the Dead is the official name for Zack Snyder’s follow-up to Army of the Dead, but we still don’t know when it will come out.
After the first movie was a big hit for Netflix, the second one was officially announced in July 2021. Snyder has big plans for this extended universe, including an anime TV show, so it’s not surprising that we’ll be going back to this world.
“It’s amazing to see [Snyder] go back to his roots with Army of the Dead, which is now one of our most popular films, and build a world around these characters with the upcoming Army of Thieves and anime series,” said Netflix’s head of films, Scott Stuber.
“We’ve just scratched the surface of what Zack, Deb, Wes, and everyone else at Stone Quarry can do.”

NCIS Season 20: Release Date, Cast and All Updates You Need to Know!
After seeing the first movie, people had a lot to talk about, like what will happen to Vanderohe next, whether Geeta is still alive or dead, and where those robot zombies came from.
Also, don’t forget that the characters may or may not be stuck in a time loop. So here is all the information you need about Army of the Dead 2.
Army of the Dead 2 potential release date: When can we see Army of the Dead 2?
The sequel to Netflix’s Army of the Dead may now be in the works, but it’s possible that we’ll have to wait a while more before we see it.
Initially, Snyder will focus on his Star Wars-inspired film Rebel Moon, which has already begun production, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Once that’s done, Snyder will move on to the sequel to the horror film.
We don’t know how long it will take to make Rebel Moon, but we estimate that Army of the Dead 2 will begin production in 2022. As a result, we may have to wait until late 2023 to see it on Netflix.
For the time being, this is all conjecture, and we’ll provide an update if anything changes.
Army of the Dead 2 cast: Who’s coming back for Army of the Dead 2?
Few Army of the Dead characters survived to appear in the sequel, hence this list is short. Vanderohe and Kate Ward are the only core cast members guaranteed to survive, but Vanderohe is past his prime and will soon be a zombie.
Given the cliffhanger, a sequel is likely, but they’ll need to bring back Kate. We’d flee zombies as she did because her father gave her money before she killed him. It’s probable that not all cast members are dead. We never saw Ludwig’s or Geeta’s bodies due to the time loop.
The Army of Thieves recounted Ludwig’s life before the Las Vegas theft, but his death wasn’t mentioned. Snyder mentioned that Ludwig may return in the sequel.
“What happened when the safe closed is a mystery. Zeus killed him? Disturbance. On camera, he doesn’t die, and time remains “You may have seen he observed.
“Dieter has a chance of surviving Army of the Dead 2. His near-death experience may have inspired him to find Gwendoline’s sister.” Nathalie Emmanuel played Gwendoline in the prequel; will she return? Hope exists.

Army of the Dead 2 plot: How does Army of the Dead’s ending set it up?
The film’s final scene sets up a sequel to Army of the Dead. Vanderohe (Omari Hardwick) escapes the nuclear blast despite the rest of the crew being gone.
Even because he doesn’t have much money, a private plane flies him to Mexico City. Vanderohe finds a zombie bite on his arm in the restroom.
Vanderohe may have been bitten by Zeus outside the vault. That implies he’ll become an Alpha, which is awful news for the world because the jet is landing in Mexico City.
Vanderohe’s playful reaction after being bitten may have surprised you. Vanderohe wanted to portray it as a “question mark,” according to Omari Hardwick. “Do any of my abandoned theories still work?” He said, “Do they save me or are they that?”
So…? Maybe Vanderohe is immune because it’s been a while since the bite, or his metamorphosis was delayed to create a cliffhanger. This episode’s cliffhanger or Vanderohe’s arrival in Mexico City will build up the next. It’s harder to contain than Las Vegas, so the sequel could be bigger.
Army of the Dead has several unanswered questions, including mechanical zombies and a probable time-loop. Why does the cycle repeat?” Snyder asked Polygon how we’d know if Tanaka is Satan or God and we’re just puppets in a horrible game.
Snyder predicts more “time loop fun” in the sequel because of the prologue. We may not have killed everyone in the last film. We’ll know if the film was successful if Geeta (Huma Qureshi) lives in the sequel. “Okay. Died in “she noticed” to be deemed dead.
