The last season of Locke and Key is almost here, and it will be season 3. But it won’t come this month. When Deadline said that season 3 of Locke and Key would be the last, we had different feelings about it. On the one hand, it’s good to know going into a season that it will be the last, and it looks like the series has decided to write a real last season. On the other hand, it means that we know we won’t see any of the characters again.
The last season can also mean that some characters are gone for good. In the last season, people always die, and it’s usually some of our favorites. In a way, it’s good that the third season of Locke and Key won’t come out in July 2022. The episodes won’t be out for much longer, though.

What will happen in Locke and Key season 3?
“Season three is going to be full of amazing adventures for the Locke family, and we couldn’t be happier to keep telling our story with our great partners at Netflix,” said Cuse. In season two, Dodge was finally beaten, but Frederick Gideon is just getting started. Eden called him, and for a brief moment, it seemed like she was going to be in charge. But the Captain threw her into the depths of the well from which he came, then left through the portal to make trouble. #PrayForTheLockes
Cuse and Averill said that season three will focus “much more on the family” and that the family will have to deal with “the biggest threat they’ve had to face yet.” “That brings them closer together in a way we’ve never seen before. “I don’t know what else to say,” Averill told Collider. “It’s a challenge we’re happy to take on that every season we have to do better than the last. It’s a fun challenge, and I think we’ve been able to meet it.”
The rumored Sandman crossover, on the other hand, won’t happen any time soon. Joe Hill said that even though The Sandman is coming to Netflix, there will not be a crossover with Locke and Key. In October 2021, he wrote on Twitter, “I’ve seen a few articles that tease the possibility of a Locke & Key/Sandman crossover on Netflix, so I thought I’d join in for a clickbait check.” “Nope. Like most die-hard Sandman fans, I’m looking forward to a big, faithful adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s stories that covers a lot of ground. “I can’t wait.”

Who is in Locke and Key season 3?
It’s the last battle, so of course, the Locke family will come back. After all, the name should give you a hint, right? That means that Connor Jessup, who plays Tyler, Emilia Jones, who plays Kinsey, Jackson Robert Scott, who plays Bode, Darby Stanchfield, who plays Nina, and Aaron Ashmore are all going to be there (Duncan). After filming was done, Connor posted a sad farewell to the series. This was the end of this part of his career.
He wrote, “That’s the end of Locke & Key’s third season. We’re done shooting after a year. I’m all messed up. My fingers are hovering, but I can’t think of any good words. I am tired, happy, and sad. But I’m most thankful. This show has been a refuge during a strange and sad year. People have been safe with these people.
“I wish I could tell you everything. The many people who work together to make this show. How clever and good they are. How carefully and proudly they do what they do. How unusually and every day full of love this set has been.”
Then there are Petrice Jones, who plays Scot, Brendan Hines, who plays Josh, and, of course, Kevin Durand, who plays Frederick Gideon, who is back. Even though Eden died in the season two finale, there’s still a chance we’ll see her again.

When will the Locke and Key Season 3 come out on Netflix?
On August 10, season three of Locke & Key will finally start airing. But this is also the last season of the show. After these episodes, the fantasy story will be over. So, people, enjoy these episodes while you still can. Fans were already aware that the show was ending, which was a shame. Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, who are co-showrunners and executive producers, had already said why it was time to leave in an Instagram post.
“Once we started making the show, we thought three seasons was the right amount of time to tell the story of the Locke family and their adventures at Keyhouse,” they wrote. “As storytellers, we’re glad we got to tell Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s amazing story exactly how we wanted. We’re going to keep the magical keys for ourselves, though.” From the first photos, it looks like there will be a lot of trouble. In one picture, the Locke family is in a defensive position, as if they are getting ready for a fight. The picture below shows that axes and mallets can’t be a sign of peace, either.
But along with the danger, there may be some love in the air, since one picture looks suspiciously like the set-up for a wedding. Even though there are dangerous things on the horizon, happiness is not far away, as a cute sparkler scene shows. The last episode of the show was filmed in September 2021. This was later confirmed on Twitter by author Joe Hill.
When can I watch the Locke and Key season 3 trailer?
Yes! Even though we haven’t seen the full trailer yet, fans were given a teaser to let them know when the movie will be out. In June 2022, during Netflix’s “Geek Week,” we got our first look back into the universe as the show built up to a dramatic end. From what this one-minute clip shows, the teaser looks like it will be epic, so hold on to your hats.
Some fans are sad, though, because it really is the start of the end for these characters. Someone wrote on YouTube: “This show doesn’t get enough praise. Really, three seasons of L&K isn’t enough. We need more! “Another person liked the show because it didn’t use shock tactics or swearing to make a story interesting. We tend to agree with you.
