In 2016, Moana 1 was a huge hit for Disney. It doesn’t come as a surprise that the animated movie made $650 million worldwide at the box office. The Academy-nominated movie by Ron Clements has interesting plots, daring characters, great visuals, and a great music score.
Fans are waiting for it to come back, but Walt Disney Animation Studios hasn’t said anything about it. Even though we hope that the second part will be announced soon, given how popular the first one is.

Moana 2 Release Date: When will it come out?
As of June 2022, there have been no hints about how the second part of this 2016 animated movie will be made, developed, or filmed. Even though Moana was an animated adventure movie, it was a huge hit.
Even though we understand how excited fans are, we’re sorry to say that Moana 2 hasn’t been given a release date, either officially or through other sources.
But an Instagram post from the Disney Moana account has hinted that the series will come out in 2023. So it’s possible that Moana could come back to your screen, not as a movie but as a series. No matter what happens, the people in charge of making and releasing Moana 2 are being very quiet about it, and as fans, we know we can help and stay calm.

Moana 2 Plot: What to expect?
Moana is the story of a brave girl who sets out to save the people she lives with. The story is a perfect example of how to find your true identity while on a journey and how to find a solution and path to your life and its problems. She was a great woman because the ocean picked her thousands of years ago to return the heart of Te Fiti.
But her parents always kept her away from her duties until sixteen years later, when the island was hit by blight. If you want to know what Te Fiti is, she is the goddess that the people of the Polynesian island Motunui worship. When the blight hits the islands, it has terrible effects.
The blight kills the plants that are already there and makes it hard for them to catch fish, which is their main source of income. Moana is the only daughter of the chief of Motunui Tui. She wants to find more fish, so she decides to go beyond the island’s reef. But her father Tui told her that she and her pet pig Pua couldn’t go anywhere else than the island reef.
Moana tried everything she could, but the tides beat her, so she went back to Motunui. But, to her surprise, her grandmother Tala tells her that the people of Motunui used to travel before Te Fiti’s heart was stolen. She also tells her about a secret cave full of ships.
She even told Moana that the ocean was dangerous without the heart of Te Fiti and that all of these problems would go away if Moana went to find Maui, who had taken the heart of Te Fiti. If they fix the heart, things would get better for everyone on the island. So, Moana sets out on an adventure with her dumb et.
It’s a dangerous trip, and she has to beat several huge monsters and impossible odds to finally complete her quest and put the heart of Te Fiti back where it belongs. Maui was with her the whole time, and this journey has been a self-discovery for Moana. It has taught her things about herself and helped her figure out who she is.

Moana 2 Cast: Who will come back?
Moana, the Wayfinder will probably have Auli’i Cravalho in the lead role. Even though Maui said goodbye in the first part of Moana, he will be back in the second part. Dawnye Johnson’s strong voice as the god Maui will continue to entertain the audience. If rumors are true, a new member will be added to the cast. However, the creators haven’t said anything about it yet.
Rachel House plays Pools, Temura Morrison plays Tuira, Jemaine Clement plays Tamata, Alan Tudyk plays Hein will, Nicole Scherzinger plays Sina, and there are more actors in the movie.
Moana 2 Trailer: Has the trailer been revealed?
Before the movie came out in theatres on November 23, 2016, the official trailer for Moana was posted on YouTube by Walt Disney Animation Studios on September 15, 2016. But the second part of Moana hasn’t been shown in a trailer or talked about yet.
But all we know is that part 2 is already being made and that it will come out as a movie or TV show in 2023. One thing about the release, though, is that we can expect to see a trailer for it before it comes out, which could be early or mid-2023.
