The May event panel said that Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi will debut on Disney in late 2022 with six episodes. Unfortunately, no more specific date was given during the recent event or in later news posts.
However, all six episodes are likely to come out on the same day, just like Star Wars: Visions, which is another animated anthology title. Tales of the Jedi’s animation style looks like that of other animated shows, especially The Bad Batch and The Clone Wars. When the release date is set for sure, the page will be changed.
Tales Of The Jedi Cast
At the Star Wars Celebration, more details about the show were shown. The show will be a collection of short stories about different Jedi. So far, we have been told that the story of Ashoka will be told. Qui-Gon Jinn, who is played by Liam Neeson again, is one of the main characters.
Liam Neeson’s son, Michael Richardson, will play a younger Qui-Gon Jinn in an episode when he is Count Dooku’s apprentice. Unlike other animated Star Wars projects like Star Wars: Clone Wars or Rebels, this show will also be a collection of shorts with six episodes.
Tales Of The Jedi Story
Even though Tales of the Jedi is a collection of short stories about different people and battles during the time of the Old Republic, the stories actually fit together to tell a bigger story.
The series is about a Jedi Knight from Alderaan named Ulic Qel-Droma who is drawn to the Dark Side. During the series, Qel-Droma fights the Sith Empire and falls in love with a fellow Jedi, Nomi Sunrider, only to turn to the dark side himself.
Qel-tale has a lot to do with Exar Kun, another former Jedi who turns to the Dark Side. Anderson made Droma’s Kun for the Jedi Academy Trilogy, which says that his soul was linked to an old temple on Yavin IV that was used by the Rebel Alliance for a short time as their base.

Tales of the Jedi had a big effect on the Star Wars series. It set up important parts of the Jedi/Sith mythology before the prequels started to cover that ground. These comics talk about important events like the Freedon Nadd Uprising and the Great Hyperspace War.
They also talk about the ancient Sith Empire and the warriors of Mandalore. These stories will take place at different times in the lives of the main characters. Ahsoka’s takes place during her childhood when she was Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice during the Clone Wars and other times.
