The Crown Season 5 Plot: What will happen?

Last season was about how Prince Charles and Princess Diana met and started their life together. Season 5 will be about how their relationship fell apart and, of course, all the problems that the divorce caused for the royal family. It is not clear if the series will also show Diana’s death. But, according to the Collider, Andrew Morton said that this new chapter was inspired by Diana: Her True Story, the book he wrote with the late princess.

The Crown Season 5 Cast: Who Will Come Back?

Imelda Staunton will play the Queen, taking over for Olivia Colman and Claire Foy. Tobias Menzies will be replaced by Prince Philip by Jonathan Pryce. Prince Charles will be played by Dominic West, and Diana will be played by Elizabeth Debicki.

Variety said that at the end of the season, Senan West, who is the son of Dominic West, will also play an older version of Prince William. Lesley Manville will be Princess Margaret, Claudia Harrison will be Princess Anne, James Murray will be Prince Andrew, and Sam Wolf will be Prince Edward.

On the other hand, Olivia Williams will play Camila Parker Bowles, and Humayun Saeed will be Dr. Hasnat Khan, Diana’s new love interest after the divorce. This season, Bertie Carvel will play Tony Blair and Jonny Lee Miller will play John Major. Amir El-Masry will play Mohamed al-Fayed, a young Egyptian billionaire.
