Release Date of Season 3 Games People Play
The second season of BET’s Games People Play will premiere in 2019. Season 2 has yet to air due to the circumstances surrounding the project, which has left fans in the dark. Since its reactivation, several experts have forecast a delivery date of 2021. Season 2 could be postponed until 2022, however, due to the impending end of the year and the lack of a substitute.
In some reports, the show was scheduled to end on September 1, 2021, however that date passed without any announcement of a finale. According to the most recent replacement announcement made in September of 2020, Karrueche Tran will be joining Lauren London in a limited role for Season 2. As with Season 1, there will likely be 10 episodes, each lasting about forty-one minutes, in Season 2.
The Series’ Cast and Characters
- Vanessa King, played by Lauren London, is a frantic basketball wife out to protect her family.
- Nia Bullock, a feisty reporter striving to restore her wrecked career, is played by Karen Obilom, Vanessa’s best friend and confidante.
- Parker McKenna Posey plays Laila James, a scandalous groupie who aspires to be a celebrity.
- Sarunas Jackson portrays Marcus King, a professional basketball all-star who was a member of the New York Gladiators before being traded to the Los Angeles Vipers. He has a wife named Vanessa.
- Kendall Kyndall plays Nia’s assistant and best friend, Marquis “MJ” Jackson, a former Gladiators basketball player and collegiate basketball powerhouse. Kareem Johnson, Marcus’ greatest friend, and the assistant was a former Gladiators basketball star and collegiate basketball standout played by Jackie Long (season 2; recurring season 1)
- Karrueche Tran plays Eden Lazlo, the daughter of the Los Angeles Vipers owner and the freshly appointed VP of basketball operations, who complicates Marcus’ love life even more (season 2)
Brandi Denise plays Quanisha.
The Plot Of Season 3 Games People Play
“Inside the high-stakes sphere of professional sports, when everyone is competing for a triumph,” it occurs when people play games. An ensemble cast of intriguing individuals includes an aspiring reporter who dreams of working for Vanity Fair, a wealthy basketball player who dreams of making it big, a desperate housewife, and a violent stalker.
Women’s desires and aspirations are rarely altruistic, but their life choices and ambition will decide what it takes to remain on top in a hard competition for success.”On April 17, 2018, BET announced that the project had received a series order for the first season of ten episodes. Tracey Edmonds, Angela Burt-Murray, and Vanessa Middleton were set to serve as executive producers, with Middleton also serving as showrunner.
One of the show’s producing companies was Edmonds Entertainment. Kim Newton, who will also executive produce, will act as the show’s co-showrunner alongside Middleton, who will write the pilot episode. The series was renamed Games People Play on January 31st, 2019, according to a press release. Before April 1, 2019, the launch date of the series has been confirmed as April 23, 2019.
