Kelly Clarkson and an old buddy collaborated to give an Oscar-winning favorite a new twist. As the Grammy Award winner’s team during the 20th season of “The Voice,” Clarkson and Corey Ward advanced to the semifinals. “The Voice” in 2021, covered “Falling Slowly” from the movie “Once” during the “Kellyoke” portion of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Feb. 16.
As the song first started, Ward, who was carrying a guitar, sang the song’s lead vocals before Clarkson joined. They presented a captivating and uplifting interpretation of the ballad, Ward’s excellent vocals serving as the centerpiece. Although Clarkson was very much present during the performance, she gave Ward enough room to shine. Her vocals provided more than enough support as they both flew.

“I loved this song, and I love how Kelly gave the spotlight to Corey more during this performance, and his voice is beautiful,” one person commented on YouTube.
“Falling Slowly,” which won the Academy Award for best original song in 2008, was written and performed by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová and was featured on the “Once” soundtrack.
Recently, Clarkson has started playing on her show with different musicians. She performed two songs with Pink earlier this month, and then she and Michael Bolton sang one of his biggest hits together.
