Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel Wins Miss Universe Competition!
The first Filipino-American won the 71st Miss Universe Competition to win Miss USA at a global beauty contest in New Orleans on Saturday night.
Over 83 other contenders, Texas-based fashion designer, model, and sewing instructor R’Bonney Gabriel took first place.
R’Bonney Gabriel closed her eyes and held hands with Miss Venezuela as the winner was eventually magnificently announced, and Amanda Dudamel grinned as her name was announced.
As heavy music played, she was presented with a bouquet, dressed in the winner’s sash, and given a tiara.

The Miss Universe Organization placed Miss Brand Corp., who hosted the Miss USA pageant, on administrative leave following claims that the competition was rigged and the winner was known before the contest began in October 2022.
R’Bonney Gabriel, a native of Texas, was crowned Miss USA on October 3.
The competitors began griping after she claimed victory that she had been “pre-selected” to win.

Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu battled to contain her tears as she stepped onto the stage for the final time and nearly fell.
She has gained weight since taking the throne, and in August 2022, she stated that she has consistently received abuse on social media.
The Indian-born beauty queen claimed, “I was ridiculed for putting on weight. “Watching people begin to voice opinions that shouldn’t have any bearing on anything was unsettling and unexpected. It doesn’t matter how you look. It concerns your inner self, how you treat others, and your principles.
Andreina Martinez, representing the Dominican Republic, placed second in the competition on Saturday.

During the Q&A session for the three finalists, Gabriel was asked how she would try to demonstrate that Miss Universe is “an empowering and progressive organization” if she were to win.
She highlighted her work making garments out of abandoned materials and teaching sewing to victims of domestic abuse and human trafficking when she declared, “I would utilize it to be a transformative leader.”
