Modest Mouse Drummer Jeremiah Green Dies: Modest Mouse’s drummer and co-founding member Jeremiah Green passed away on Saturday after being told he had stage 4 cancer, according to the rock group. He was 45.
In a post to Instagram, the group said, “I don’t know how to ease into this: Today we lost our great friend Jeremiah.” “He vanished after settling down to slumber. While I would like to express something poetic, the time isn’t appropriate. These will appear later and from a variety of sources.”
Please be grateful for all the love you give, receive, have passed, and will receive. “Jeremiah was primarily about love. I adore you.” In a different Facebook post, Green’s mother, Carol Namatame, stated that he “died quietly in his sleep.”
She wrote, “Jeremiah was a light to many many.” “The family is currently asking for privacy. More information will be available soon, along with a Celebration of Life for friends and admirers in the upcoming months. The people close to Jeremiah would want to express gratitude for their support and well wishes.”
On Christmas Day, Namatame posted on social media that Green had been given a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. She requested “healing wishes for my kid,” mentioning his bravery and resilience.
Green’s buddy and rock radio DJ Marco Collins also posted on Facebook that the drummer had canceled the Modest Mouse tour because he was still receiving chemotherapy.
