These assumptions, however, should be taken with a grain of salt because the precise cause has yet to be revealed to the public. Among the rumors, Ultra South Africa was shocked at Costa Titch’s untimely death.
Costa Titch had been building his hip-hop empire for years before his death. He was signed to Akon’s Konvict Kulture agency as a rising star in amapiano, a South African musical style. He most recently collaborated with Akon on “Big Flexa.”
The late rapper also won best collaboration and best remix at the 2020 South African Hip Hop Awards for his track “Nkalatha.” His death came just a month after his friend and collaborator, rapper AKA, was killed in a shooting in South Africa.
AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, was assassinated outside a Durban restaurant. A police investigation into the shooting has since been launched, with the police focusing on the possibility of a contract killing.
