In anticipation of the impending release of the Radeon RX 7000, AMD has officially reduced the prices of its entire Radeon RX 6000 “RDNA 2” lineup of graphics processing units.
In a recent post to its official blog, AMD announced updated pricing for its full Radeon RX 6000 “RDNA 2” graphics card family, as well as a comparison to the competition’s existing RTX 30 lineup at the same rates. As shown in the official pricing breakdown, AMD is now offering discounts of between 5 and 30 percent off of the list price. The full breakdown is as follows:
- Get a Radeon RX 6950 XT for $949 (originally $1099)!
- $699 for a Radeon RX 6900 XT (was $999)
- $599 for a Radeon RX 6800 XT (down from $649 USD)
- $549 for a Radeon RX 6800 (down from $579)
- Price down! Radeon RX 6750 XT is now only $419 (was $549 USD)
- $379 for a Radeon RX 6700 XT (was $479)
- $299 for a Radeon RX 6650 XT (normally $399 USD)
- For $239 instead of $329 (USD), get a Radeon RX 6600 XT.
- Pricing dropped for the Radeon RX 6500 XT from $199 to $169.
- Prices have dropped on the Radeon RX 6400, which is now only $149 (normally $159 in the US).
The prices mentioned here are the new MSRPs and we have been seeing these and even lower prices at various retailers over the last several weeks
The Radeon RX 6950 XT is the new flagship, but the 6900 XT has seen the biggest price cut because it has been on the market for two years. The 30% price cut brings the card down to $699 US, which is an impressive price point for its performance.

However, considering how close we are to the next-gen RDNA 3 “Radeon RX 7000” GPUs, it would not be a wise decision to purchase this card at this time, as prices may fall dramatically once AMD reveals the performance of its next-generation flagship.

Later this year, AMD will release its RDNA 3 GPUs, which will have a significant performance boost. The next-generation GPUs for the Radeon RX 7000 series, according to David Wang, Senior Vice President of Engineering, Radeon Technologies Group, would provide a performance boost of over 50 percent per watt compared to the current RDNA 2 GPUs. AMD will discuss a few of the new features available in its RDNA 3 GPUs.
>Node 5 nm Processing Technology
>High-Tech Chip-In-Board Packaging
>Modified Computer Architecture
>Better Graphics Processing
>New AMD Infinity Cache Technology
>Capabilities for Ray Tracing Improvement
>Improved Adaptive Power Control
>Performance to power ratio of greater than 50% compared to RDNA 2
It is predicted that AMD will release their Radeon RX 7000 “RDNA 3” GPU family based on the Nav 3x GPUs by the end of the year, with the flagship Navi 31 GPU launching first, followed by the Navi 32 and Navi 33 GPUs.
