Netflix has revealed that it is expanding its video game collection to include TVs, PCs, and Macs.
The update has been in the works since the business released a dedicated controller app for iPhone last week, and Netflix has now confirmed the expansion of availability. While mobile games are being downloaded, Netflix will stream titles from the cloud to other devices.
It is now in limited beta for users in the United Kingdom and Canada. Access will be granted first to a small number of members on specific TVs. In the coming weeks, Netflix.com will broaden the tease to include “supported browsers.”
While the mobile controller will be used for TV games, the web versions will continue to rely on the tried-and-true keyboard and mouse (or trackpad). At the time of writing, there is no Android version of the Game Controller app available on the Google Play store.
