The Upshaws Season 3: The Upshaws is an American sitcom about a family. Regina Y. Hicks and Wanda Sykes are the show’s directors. In the series, Bennie Upshaw and his working-class family deal with life in Indianapolis and the challenges it brings. On the show, Kim Fields plays Bennie’s wife Regina, and Gabrielle Dennis plays his ex-girlfriend Tasha. IMDB gave the show 6.8 stars.
The Upshaws is called a “throwback sitcom with modern views” by The New York Times. The creators of this sitcom use it to talk about romance, sexuality, and love. Some people even say that this show is like black sitcoms from the late 1990s, like “Family Matters” and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
The writers of The Upshaws, Sykes, and Regina Hicks, who is known for her work on shows like “Girlfriends,” “Insecure,” and “Sister Sister,” made this show. This could be why the show looks and feels like it’s from a long time ago.

The Upshaws Season 3 Release Date: When will it air?
The second season of The Upshaws aired on June 29, but the channel hasn’t said when season 3 will start. But based on when the second season came out, we think that the third season should come out around the summer of 2023.
Tracey Pakosta, who works for Netflix, says that The Upshaws has been a huge success for the service. Here’s what she has to say about the show’s creators:
“Wanda and Regina have made a new Black sitcom that is real, funny, and easy to relate to. We can’t wait to see what they do with the Upshaws in season two.”
Sources say that Netflix has also decided to increase the number of episodes for the second season from ten to sixteen. So, depending on how well the second season does, we could also expect the number of episodes in the third season to go up again. The episodes will still run for 30 minutes, though.
The Upshaws Season 3 Plot: What should we expect?
Fans say that The Upshaws is a “retro comedy with views of today.” If The Upshaws is picked up for a third season, there are many ways that the story could go. Since we now know that Bernard Jr. has told his family that he is gay, different things could happen in the next season. The theme of the show might be about how he explores the world as an out gay man.
The little girl who showed up at Upshaw’s door and said she was Bennie’s daughter could also be a part of a new subplot in the next season. Who is this girl, then? Whether she was born while Regina and Bennie were on their break.
Lastly, we will see how Regina’s professional decisions affect her and her family after she passes the GMAT.

The Upshaws Season 2 Cast: Who will be in?
The strange people in The Upshaws have been the focus of the story. Because of this, it would be hard to let go of anyone. So, it doesn’t look like the cast of The Upshaws will change much in the next season.
Mike Epps, who plays Bennie Upshaw, Kim Fields, who plays Regina Upshaw, Diamond Lyons, who plays Kelvin Upshaw, Wanda Sykes, who plays Lucretia, Khali Spriggins, who plays Aaliyah Upshaw, Page Kennedy, who plays Duck, Journey Christine, who plays Maya Upshaw, Michel Estime, who plays Tony, Jermelle Simon, who plays Bernard, and Gabrielle Dennis, who plays Tasha, are all expected to return.
In terms of the story, the show’s parents are silly, but Bennie is real. He could be a very frustrating main character for a family sitcom. There’s no doubt about that. He is a man-child who has never fully grown up, so when he realizes he has done something wrong, he tends to apologize in a way that makes it hard for Regina to forgive him.
Even though Regina might not say much about this, her sister Lucretia gives Regina a snarky voice on the show. She is always there to tell Bennie about all of his flaws.
Do you want to know when the characters in the show lived? After Regina and Bennie break up, Bennie has a son named Kelvin. The story says that Regina and Bennie had their first child, Bernard Upshaw Jr. when they were in high school.
Bernard is now an adult and doesn’t think much of his father. Maya Upshaw is Regina and Bennie’s youngest daughter, and Bennie’s best friend, the Duck, works at the garage. He just got out of jail, which is interesting.
Before Season 2 came out, the team put out 12 photos from the first 12 episodes of Season 2. In one of the pictures, Bennie, Tasha, and their two daughters are singing and having a good time in their kitchen.
