On August 31, a source for In Touch Weekly magazine revealed that Gigi, 27, and Leo had casually seen each other “a few times this summer.”

Their insider said: “They have known each other for several years. They’re super attracted to each other.

“She is just his type: stunning, sensual yet low-key with a one-of-the-guys mentality,” they added about the rumored affair.

According to the tabloid, the actor and model’s romance is unlikely to blossom into a full-fledged partnership because “it’s casual and not a constant thing.” They do, however, have many shared friends.”

Gigi’s dad Mohamed Hadid has since said he thinks Leo is a ‘very nice man,’ telling MailOnline: “I have not spoken to my daughter about Mr. DiCaprio. I don’t think they are dating. I believe they are just good friends, but I don’t know.

“I don’t comment on my daughter’s personal relationships,” added Mohamed, “I have no say in who she’s dating.”

As of February 2023, reports circulated that their short-lived romance fizzled out as a source told Us Weekly: “Gigi and Leo are no longer dating. Things just organically tapered off between them.”

The source said that the split was not precipitated by anything spectacular, saying, “Leo and Gigi were at different phases in their lives, and it just didn’t work out for them.”

However, they reignited romance rumors once again in April, with a source telling ET that they’re still ‘hanging out’ with each other.

An insider said: “Gigi and Leo still hang out and talk when it works with their timing. They both enjoy each other’s company and have fun together when their busy schedules permit.”

They went on to say that Gigi’s mother, Yolanda, and her supermodel sister, Bella, are both very supportive of her dating life “Yolanda and Bella recognize that Gigi is capable of making her own health decisions and are proud of her. Gigi’s top priority is her daughter. Her baby is always at the forefront of her attention and everything in her life.”

This follows a March report by ET that the model and the Hollywood star partied together at a Pre-Oscars party: “Gigi and Leo spent the entire night together at Darren Dzienciol and Richie Akiva’s annual Oscars party last night at a private residence in Bel Air, California.

They stayed together in an inside tented area close to Tobey Maguire. They weren’t showing PDA, yet they kept close and had fun together.”
